Lumbini Museum: Travel the historical Buddha’s path from his roots here in Lumbini to Buddhism’s genesis. In one of the interestingly-shaped buildings that were part of the original 1978 Lumbini Master Plan, you’ll find the Lumbini Museum. The museum is designed to show the site’s significance as the birthplace of Buddha and offer some examples of the importance of Buddhism more generally.
The Lumbini Museum displays nearly 12,100 artifacts, along with several Buddha’s stone pillars and various incarnations of scriptures, spiritual writings; Terra was Sui dynasty and Maurya money, and Lumbini’s seals from all around the world. Situated opposite the Lumbini Museum, the Lumbini Global Research Facility offers research centers for researching Buddhism and organized religion.
