The site, containing the rest of the palace where Siddhartha spent his life until the age of 29, is still breathing!
Visit Religious and Archaeological Sites: Visit Religious and Archaeological Sites of Tilaurakot, Kudan, Gotihawa, Niglihara, and Sagarhawa. Tilaurakot is the ancient Kapilavastu – the capital of Shakyas.
Genuine Atmosphere: You can have an enjoyable walk in a park full of trees, and you could escape from the eastern gate as Siddharta himself did, in search of self-realization. There are a few other historical sites around 5 km, such as Gotihawa, Kudan, Sagarhawa, etc. And to go from one to the other, you will see natural scenes of agricultural life, not so different from those Siddharta saw. Atmosphere more genuine than the one you will experience on the Lumbini site.
